Hi, I’m Meri.

I'm a Moroccan illustrator based in Berlin, Germany.

I have been drawing almost every day since I was five years old, but I have no formal training in art. Instead, I studied engineering and worked as a software engineer for over a decade before realising that my love for line and colour wasn't going anywhere, and decided to pursue illustration.

I draw to document current cultural moments, to report on political movements, and to capture my favourite movies, musicians, and travels for a future version of myself that may not remember it all. I love to combine colours in such a way that they resonate deeply with the person who sees my artwork.
